Anderson – Margaret Jeanette Lindsay Reed, 82, of Simpson Road, formerly of Belton, died Saturday April 11, 2026 at her home.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Roy Clinton and Evelyn Branyon Lindsay. She retired from Cushman Mills of Williamston.

Surviving are: two grandchildren, Joshua Reed of Belton and Chase Reed of Liberty; a great-grandson, Atlas Reed; a brother, Olin Lindsay of Belton; four sisters, Carolyn (Jimmy Brock) Ashley of Honea Path, JoAnn (Dan) Sellers of Anderson, Betty (Bill) Wilson of Williamston; and June Gambrell of Honea Path.

Ms. Reed was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kenneth Lane Reed; three brothers, David ‘Doodle” Lindsay, Ray “Sonny” Lindsay and Donald ‘Duck” Lindsay; and three sisters, Marian Banks, Clara Ashley and Judy Knight.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday April 15, 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10-11 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to VIA Hospice, 1003 Grove Rd, Suite E, Greenville S.C. 29605.
